It Doesn't Take Much

Hunter is a "home-body", especially after our Christmas vacations. He loves coming home from TN and staying home to play with his new toys. I headed back to work on the 3rd and he wan't due back to school until the 7th. Nannie gladly took us up on the offer to let him stay home with her. Both mom and Hunter had an agenda. One of the days home, they went to work on a Gingerbread house and train. They then went to work on a foam Gingerbread house. Hunter dragged out the Tinker Toys and was able to create a new creation with Nannie. I came home after that first day and they hadn't moved from the front table. The second day at home, they went to work on Hunter's new Lego City Mine Set. This was a large task but they were able to accomplish it together. Mom had planned on taking Hunter out for lunch and to do something fun, but he begged her to stay home and play. Mom loves staying home, so there were no complaints there.
Mom's visit has been great. The kids have enjoyed every minute of playing with her. It has been nice to have her here. She has been able to relax and truly enjoy the kids. I am hoping to send her back with a little sun on her cheeks and rested. So far, we are successful.
