Spring Garden's Easter Egg Hunt

Hunter and Grady on their way to hunt Easter Eggs.

Hunter made a mad dash towards the eggs.

Leaving with their baskets full.

Saying the Pledge of Allegiance with his class. Soooo cute!!!

Hunter had his Easter Egg Hunt today at Spring Garden Preschool. I love being able to go to these events. Working full time I didn't get to attend special days like this. Totally taking advantage of getting to see Hunter in action at school.
As I walked into the classroom, the kiddos were lining up with their Easter baskets. Hunter and Grady, one of his closest friends, were standing in line together holding hands. They were all bubbling over with excitement. Once the counting to go began, the excitement intensified. When Mrs. Wilma said, "Three," you should have seen them all dash towards the eggs. They each had a great time running and finding them. Hunter had more fun finding the eggs. Luckily, there was only 2 eggs with candy in them. I say luckily because Hunter has found our stash of candy and is asking for it daily. Not a good habit to have and we are trying to discourage it. After the Easter Egg Hunt, the kids went back to the class, sang a few songs, and said the Pledge of Allegiance. It was so cute to hear them mumble a few things and then come out with the last word of the line. We are leaving for Nashville tomorrow to spend time with family over Easter. This will be the 2nd Easter in a row that we have been home. Hope this is a trend that continues ;) Happy Easter everyone!

Easter Egg Playdate

Easter Eggs!!!

Noah and Hunter enjoying lunch together.

On Fridays, when we are in town, we get together with some of the other moms in Junior League. Hunter and his friend Noah always have a blast playing together. This past Friday my friend, Angela, was brave enough to host a Easter Egg Dying party. The kids started out by just playing their little hearts out with all of the toys. They then were served lunch and cupcakes. Hunter then got to dye a few eggs. He had more fun watching the egg turn from white to a brilliant orange and another one green. Hunter loves going on these play dates and always talks about them the remainder of the day.

Florida Bound

Celebrating Jayme's birthday!

Our Ritz-Carlton Tea experience was Divine!
Hunter loves the beach. He wanted to visit everyday. Of course, THE TRUCK had hitched a ride in Nannie's van.

Hunter and I have been wanting to visit Florida since we left in December. In February, I had the idea of renting a condo in Bonita Springs (just north of Naples) for a week with my parents. I do get to see my parents more frequently now that we live closer, but we don't have a lot of visiting time. It always seems to be so busy when we go to Nashville. So I was grateful for the opportunity to spend this time with them.
Hunter did great on the ride to and from Florida. He is a great little rider. However, he was a little under the weather, which ended up being the theme for the week for everyone except for myself.
On Sunday afternoon, a few friends, Michelle, Megan, Jayme, and myself, got together for a tea at The Ritz-Carlton Beach Resort. I have never been to a formal tea so the experience was wonderful. We were given many choices of tea and decided on two. Then we were served tea sandwiches, scones, and cakes. As we were enjoying our visit there was a Tea Birthday Party being held for a young girl, about the age of 5. It was precious to see the girls dressed up and drinking their "tea", which was really hot chocolate :) I had a wonderful time catching up with some wonderful friends and being immersed in the Naples atmosphere.
My camera battery died the next afternoon so the remainder of our vacation was not photographed. The weather wasn't the best, a little chilly and rainy. This is not normal for Naples in the winter. We visited our favorite parks, dropped by our house to check on some things and pick up baby items, had a fun GNO (Girls Night Out), and relaxed. Other than a few sicknesses and rain, the trip was good. I was just glad to visit the area one more time before the baby. Crossing my fingers I will find an excuse to visit again before then, but not sure an opportunity will present itself.

Adam's Last Weekend Off

Going to the driving range with our clubs.
Hunter loved the rolly slide so much that he thanked God in his prayers that night.

The Olde Farm opens on April 1st. This is when Adam's weekend life comes to a halt. We wanted to make sure we got the most out of the weekend as we could, doing things around the Bristol area. Saturday morning started with a big breakfast and then a trip to Warriors' Path State Park in Kingsport, TN. The park has a public golf course. We took advantage of the nice weather and went to hit some balls at the driving range. Hunter took interest at first, but quickly decided to entertain himself in other ways (collecting the baskets and making a tower out of them). After we finished at the driving range, we visited the playground area. This is the second or third time we have visited this park. It is an amazing new addition to the park. It is built for children of all ages and disabilities. Hunter enjoyed running around and playing. I had packed a picnic lunch for us to enjoy. We spent a few hours just enjoying each other and the weather.
Sunday we went to church, brunch, and then came home to enjoy the remainder of the day together. Adam is still keeping up with his exercise routine and diet. I'm so proud of him. He keeps getting smaller and I keep getting bigger ;) Which brings me to the following:
Pregnancy Update
Everything seems to be going great. I wasn't showing much about a month ago, but around 16 weeks I began to pop. Everyday I seem to get bigger. Hunter is being so cute with this pregnancy. He continually is asking questions such as, "Where is our baby brother going to sit/sleep?" We don't know if it is a girl or a boy. We find out April 7th, but Hunter is determined it is a boy. He also talks about "when the baby pops out" of my belly. Now, we haven't had a lot of discussions about having a new addition, but he is gathering these thoughts and bringing up these discussions on his own. Last night he raised my shirt up and said, "Your belly is big." Then proceeded to tell me the baby was going to pop out of my belly button. Too cute!!!
