Hunter's 3rd Birthday with Morris Family

The attempt at a train cake. It turned out good, except for the engine looking like a boat.
Hunter loved the look of the cake and how it tasted too.

Papa and Hunter with the "Major Trouble" shirt. Papa and Hunter have an act that they do. 1st Papa points at Hunter and says, "You're trouble," and then Hunter replies, "No, your trouble." It continues on for a minute and is rather cute. Papa gave Hunter a tee-shirt that said "Major Trouble" for his birthday.
Hunter's birthday is around the corner. This weekend with having Martha in town, we decided to have Hunter a little birthday party with the Morris clan. I attempted a train cake. It took 3 hours to ice and decorate, but it turned out pretty good. Next time...if there is a next time, I will be making the engine a little differently. Hunter loved it though! It is so good to be close enough to enjoy the family more often.

Alzheimer's Walk

Today was the Walk for the Cure. We raised over $1700 and had 14 walkers. I never imagined being that successful with donations, but thank you to everyone who contributed. We were awarded Runner Up Rookie Team of the Year. We are so lucky to have such a wonderful support system with family and friends.

Weekend in Nashville

Hunter's first hay ride.
Treasure Hunting
Fun in the Corn Crib...like a sand box, but with corn. Neat idea!

Fun with Nannie and Papa!

We took a quick trip to Nashville this weekend. Thursday night Hunter spent some time with Annmother, Pops, and Meemaw. Meemaw, Adam's grandmother, turned 90 on Friday. She enjoys spending time with Hunter. I think he keeps her entertained.

Saturday we decided to go and spend some time with Nannie and Papa at a pumpkin patch. Hunter had lots of fun in the corn crib and in a hay maze. I didn't think we were going to be able to get him to come out of the hay maze.

Saturday night we went to Kelly and Paul Troutt's annual Bonfire in Gallatin. The evening was filled with a "Treasure Hunt", a hay ride, roasting hot dogs and s'mores, and glow stick fun with Virginia. Good times!!!

Pumpkin Therapy

Who ever knew that carving a pumpkin could be so therapeutic? I was actually dreading the activity, but once we had decided on a pattern and I got busy, the creativity just flowed. This is the 3rd pumpkin that I have carved. I am getting better every year. By the time Hunter is 18, I will be a professional ;)

Family Movie Night

He was a little intimated about walking into a dark theatre.
This afternoon I mentioned to Adam about taking Hunter to the Toy Story double feature. I didn't expect for him to say that he would be able to today, but he did. We went to the 4:10 showing together. With popcorn, drinks, and 3D glasses in hand we went into the theatre. At first he really was not sure what to expect, but as the movie started he was drawn to the big screen. So cute to see him with those big glasses on (which came off half way through the show). We didn't stay for the 2nd show. Too much animation for Adam and Hunter was getting antsy. Loved that we were able to do this as a family today. Adam is such an amazing and supporting husband. Always has been, but in tough times he seems to pull me through. I'm so blessed to have 2 amazing, handsome fellas in my life.

He is MY son!!!

So the other night while I was cooking dinner Adam called me into the den. He said, "Hunter is definitely related to you." I looked on the couch and he had every car and truck organized. He even had his alphabet block letters organized to the right. As he gets older I notice the organization skill even more. The other night I was putting up his trucks and he stopped me and said, "No, not that way" and then proceeded to take the car from me and put it in the "right spot". Now the "right spot" was his "right spot" and not mine ;) As many of you know that might be a conflict later, but for now I love it! (Just kidding about the conflict...as long as he is organized, I don't care.)
