Bouncing is what I do best

Just hangin' around

Mackenzie is amazing me in all that she does. At school they have a jumper that she loves. I had tried to put her in this a few months back and she wasn't ready. Now she loves it. She just bounces away! She is smiling, rolling over, and cooing all of the time. I'm cherishing every minute of it.
We have started a bad habit of taking afternoon naps together on the weekend. At first I kept thinking of all the stuff I could get done while she sleeps, but then I got to thinking of the time that we are spending together. Time is not something I can ever get back. I usually put Hunter down first. Then Mackenzie and I just hang out together on the bed for a little while before dozing off to sleep. I love it!!! I loved taking naps with Hunter when he was little, but I never slept as well. With Mackenzie I would love for her to sleep with me all the time if I knew it wasn't bad for her. So...weekend naps are the limit. I can't believe how time is flying!

Our First Dinner as a Family

I didn't realize how messy the room was prior to this picture, but it is not the mess that matters, but the family around the mess. My eyes tend to jump over messes these days :)
Mackenzie's first bite. Hunter wanted to make sure he was apart of this picture.
She thrusted them out. However, she thrusts everything out. Thanks to Aunt Wendy, we have some really cool spoons that help take care of this.

We always eat dinner together as a family, but this is the first time Mackenzie has eaten dinner with us. She started eating cereal over Christmas (but I didn't get any pictures). However, I just set up her high chair today. I also decided to try carrots with her tonight also. It just so worked out we were eating dinner the same time she was due to eat. It was fun watching Mackenzie enjoy her carrots together as a family. She wasn't quite sure what to make of them, but she at them. I think she is going to be a good eater.

Mackenzie Making New Discoveries

Sitting in the bumbo
Learning to play with the toys.
She is really thinking about this one.
Before Christmas she wasn't paying any attention to these toys, now she pulling on these toys.

She loves her toes. There are days where she just keeps them in her mouth.

I love her toes. She has the littlest feet.
She is pooped after all of her playing.

Mackenzie has been a joy to have. Although she is a much different baby than Hunter, I have been much more relaxed with her. I try to soak up every moment. I spend a lot of time with her and try to watch her every movement. She has rolled over, but only in secret. It won't be long before she is doing it all of the time. Only a month ago she wasn't doing much, but now she is so involved with the world around her. I love it!
