Week 6

Ok, now it is week 6. I feel tons better, but Mackenzie woke up with goopy eyes and nose and a little temp. Hunter ended up having the stomach bug Saturday afternoon. Sunday morning Mackenzie's ear drum burst. So...we stayed home again this weekend. Adam and I even had a babysitter set up to go out last night. Oh well, maybe next weekend. It is Sunday night and everyone seems to be feeling better. Adam is taking Mackenzie to the doctor due to still being a little fussy, but overall we are going to look forward to a great and HEALTHY week!!! I'm ready to have a great weekend next weekend!!! My prayer this week...NO MORE GERMS!!!

Loungin' Around the House

Hunter riding his new bike that he calls "The Orange Crush".
Mackenzie sporting her new glasses. She actually keeps them on.

She was so pooped that she fell asleep in her high chair.

Ok, week 5 of not feeling so well. I have concluded that it is something in my classroom that is causing my problems. I am having their air tested and a few alterations done so that this issue will soon resolve itself. With that being said, we stayed home all weekend. Mackenzie even had a little runny nose. It was great to stay at home and not be running around. The kids had a great time playing and being together as a family.

Just Being Cute

One of my biggest downfalls is going through the mail. I pay most of our bills on-line so the mail is mostly junk mail. I tend to let it pile up on the table for a week or two and then go through it. Mackenzie decided to help me out with this task. She did make it more interesting.
I love her little bum :) I took her pick and was surprised by the big smile on her face. After I put down the camera, I walked over to her and found a puddle in the floor. It was then that I realized what she was smiling about.

Labor Day

Today we met a photographer at the Naples Botanical Gardens for Mackenzie's 1 year pics. It was rather warm, but overall I think she got some good pics. I am anxious to see them. The gardens are beautiful. Adam even tagged along. Hopefully we got a few good family pictures also. There are several different gardens. We visited the Children's Garden last. It has a water area. We were the only ones there. Adam and I sat on the bench, under a palm tree, watching the kids play in the water. It was a peaceful 30 minutes.

Helping Daddy In The Yard

Anytime Adam is out working in the yard, Hunter is right beside him with the wagon picking up the grass. Tonight, Adam pulled out the seed spreader and Hunter pretended to mow the grass with him. Mackenzie and I stayed inside, due to her being "under the weather". He would run in the house occasionally and ask for some water and then run right back out. By the end of the job, Hunter and Adam were both covered in grass, but had smiles on their faces.

Shoppin' for Shoes

She seems to be saying, "Look at my new shoes, Mama."
Hunter and Mackenzie playing around in a hot rod.

Shoes...I had them on Hunter very early on. With Mackenzie, I have kept her shoeless. She tends to take them off. Besides her toes are just so cute. However, now that she is officially walking, she was in the need for some new shoes. We had a family afternoon out with our mission being to buy Mackenzie her 1st pair of shoes. We had her feet measured. She is measuring a size 3 1/2. She did great. She even wanted to wear the shoes out of the store. I can't believe she is growing up so quickly.
