What Can Brown Do For You?

Enjoying his first sucker.
Trick or Treat!

Hunter had a great Halloween night. We were not sure if he would wear a costume this year because he has been so picky about wearing things that are not comfortable. He loved wearing his UPS costume.
We went trick or treating in a community around the corner from where we live. We met up with a few of my friends that have kids the same age as Hunter. We had a blast going around the neighborhood "delivering" packages...more like picking up candy.
Last year he was a Hershey's chocolate kiss and this year a UPS man...what comes next year? We will have to see.

Elmo the Pumpkin

Kissing the pumpkin.
Decorating the pumpkin.

Getting out the pumpkin seeds.

Introducing Elmo the Pumpkin!

Ok, so this doesn't look anything like Elmo, but when Hunter was asked what he wanted to name the pumpkin it was Elmo. Honestly, I'm pretty impressed with my pumpkin carving skills. I have carved one before, but it looked terrible. I even called Papa to get some tips on how to get out all the "gunk". We had a great time carving the pumpkin.

This weekend was perfect, besides having to go to school yesterday. I did start decorating the house for Thanksgiving. I'm really looking forward to having Nannie and Papa down her to celebrate our last Thanksgiving in Naples.

Organization Gone Wrong

Ok so in the past I have always bragged on Hunter's organization skills. Yesterday he proved me wrong. He dumped every one of his Legos, puzzles, cars, and book bins out. He seemed to enjoy the fact that he had done this. I'm hoping that this is a phase that doesn't last long...one day would be great.

Pumpkin Patch

Picking out the perfect little pumpkin!
Mom can I have more?

After a long, exhausting week at work, Adam treated us to a family night out on the town. First we began our adventure at the local church pumpkin patch. I have been going to the same place for 3 years and have always enjoyed picking out our pumpkins this year. Hunter enjoyed being able to pick out his little pumpkins and put them in his shopping cart. After that, we went to dinner. Then proceeded to Toys R Us to pick out Hunter's birthday gifts. He was involved in exploring that he didn't even pay attention to what we bought. You will have to stay tuned to find out. Adam finished the evening off with an ice cream stop at Cold Stone Creamery. One of my favorites! What a relaxing, unwinding night it was.

Spicy, but Good

Not so sure about these spicy Doritos!
Yeap I think I like them.
Adam has always come home and eaten chips as his snack after a long hard day at work. Now he tries to either hide this unhealthy snacking from Hunter, have other alternative snacks, or just shares. Hunter has gotten into the routine of Daddy coming home and then bringing him a bag of chips. Bad habit, but Adam is really good at limiting it if even allowing it.
This weekend we didn't do much other than clean and spend time together as a family. I look forward to every weekend more and more. Hunter enjoys being home with both of us and keeps us both busy. He is actually beginning to become pretty useful with the chores. At this stage, 2 years old, you never know what kind of day you are going to have...temper tantrums or pleasant. Not only did we have pleasant days both days, but Hunter also slept till 6:15 both days. He is an early riser - 5:30am to 5:50am. Overall, this was the perfect weekend. I wish it could last forever.

Adam's Home

Watching Daddy's plane land
We went to pick up Adam from the airport. Both Hunter and I were excited to do this. It was the first time we have greated Adam at the airport. Watching Hunter see his daddy coming down the terminal was fun. We spent the remainder of the day relaxing together.

Weekend Playdate

The newest addition to the Beaudet Family, Alexa.
Claire and Hunter having fun.
Hunter enjoying an ice cream cone with mom.
Adam is still out of town. We have been making the best of it. Today we scheduled a "play date" with one of my friends and her two daughters. Claire was born 6 weeks before Hunter. Alexa was born in July of this past year. We had a fun time letting the kids hang out and play while catching up. Afterwards we went to Jason's Deli to eat lunch. This was my first time experiencing an ice cream cone with Hunter. He had one this summer with at the Boyd Farm. He enjoyed every bite!

Visit with Annmother

Building a sandcastle
Running after the birds
Adam's mom flew down this past Wednesday night. Adam left again for Tennessee and she generously flew down to help me out while he was gone. He will be back in a week, but I will take as much help as I can get.
This morning we went to the beach. It, as it was last time, was real calm and low tide. Hunter was calmer this trip and even sat to play in the sand for a long period of time. We had a really relaxing time this morning.
Annmother is helping out around the house. She watched Hunter while Adam and I went out to dinner for the first time since July. Adam left yesterday morning. I had made plans to meet up with the "Dream Team", the group of teachers I taught with last year, last night. We had a good time catching up. It has been nice having family in town.
