SeaWorld

Adam riding the carousal.

When Adam and I moved to Florida, I told him the one place I wanted to go before we left was SeaWorld. That was our adventure this weekend. Hunter saw stingrays, dolphins, seals, walrus, penguins, a polar bear, and the great Shamu (killer whale show). AMAZING!!! Hunter has his 2 year molars coming in so he wasn't his energizing self, but he still had fun. I think Hunter's favorite part of the day was the Pet Show that involved tons of cats, dogs, birds, and even a pig and skunk. Weird combination, but amazing how these people train these animals. I think my favorite part of the day was Shamu. Adam enjoyed the Sea Lion show.
We discovered that he is not a "Nap In The Car" child. We planned each day out perfectly so that he would take his 2 hour nap in the car. The 2 hour naps turned to 25 minute naps...each day. He did perfect in the car. Last night Adam and I wanted to venture out and try a new restaurant. We walked into a very nice restaurant and didn't realize it until we were in there. I would compare it to Ruth Chris. We were both a little on edge the whole time during dinner not sure what Hunter's actions would be. He surprised us both. He was perfect. Last night was our first experience in a hotel and again...perfect. Overall the trip was really relaxing and enjoyable.

Sunday Afternoon at the Beach

Today after church Hunter and I headed out to lunch and then to the beach. I had a long list of things to do at home (laundry, bills, etc.), but made myself take a break and go enjoy a piece of Florida. We had a blast. Hunter played for the first 45 minutes and then relaxed with me on the beach towel the last 45 minutes. We could have stayed longer, but Hunter needed a nap and I needed to get a portion of the to-do list done. I think we may head out again next weekend if the weather permits. I keep reminding myself that the "to-do" list will always be there, but the beach won't.

Saturday Night @ The Fair

Eating cotton candy and watching the cars.
Barbecue sandwich, chicken fingers, french fries, corn on the grill, funnel cake, and cotton candy...our list of foods that we ate at the fair. We have been going to the fair for the past 3 years. The first year, Hunter stayed at home with Annmother and Pop Pop while Adam and I went on a date. Last year, we did go, but Hunter was too small for any rides. This year Adam and I were excited about going to the fair. However, Hunter had a difficult time wanting to do anything. He was a little overwhelmed with all of the noises and lights that he was scared to ride anything. The pictures above were taken at the Demolition Derby. Hunter loved watching the cars go around and race. This was the first for both of us and a lot of fun. Overall, we had a good time.

Brownies

Tonight we enjoyed a Friday night together and made Brownies. Daddy surprised us with ice cream when he came home so it was only appropriate we surprise him with Brownies. YUMMY!

Precious Moments

Adam and Hunter sharing the couch while watching football.
Hunter's first apple and peanut butter moment with mama. YUMMY!

As March quickly approaches, we are cherishing every moment we have together. Therefore, I have slipped on blogging as frequently. Adam is leaving March 15th. I know that both he and I are dreading that day, but know that we will make it through whatever comes our way.

School is a little less stressful due to some small changes, but all in all I still feel like I work in an office not a classroom. I love teaching, but love being a wife and mother even more. My heart is torn everyday when I leave for work and pumping with excitement as a I return home.

Hunter is growing everyday and learning so much so quickly. He is currently working on his auditioning pieces for the next American Idol or America's Got Talent. The pieces he has the strongest endings are "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star", "The Wheels on the Bus", and "He's Got the Whole World in His Hands". It is so funny to hear him singing at the top of his lungs in the back seat of the car. We are working on counting to 15 and the letters B and H.

Adam took the day off yesterday. This doesn't happen that often. We went to breakfast. Then church, which we are both going to miss Summit. Adam then attempted the mall. I needed to pick up a few items. Hunter thinks the word shopping means going up and down the escalator. It was quite humorous to see them going up and down the escalator while I did my Clinique pick up. "Mo shopping, Daddy!" is what Hunter said every time they would get off the escalator. I knew Adam was going to be a good dad, but never knew he was going to be this great. I have fallen in love all over again!

New Years Day

Hunter's new truck!
Making a sand castle.

Chasing birds!

We headed out to the beach that afternoon. It was the perfect beach day. The water was calm, the weather was perfect, and Hunter had a blast. Santa brought him a dump truck that he was able to try out at the beach. What a way to start out the new year!

New Year's Eve

Having fun on the beach at night!

Jayme and I posing for a picture and Kevin trying to get Hunter to do bunny ears on me.

Having this be our last New Year's in Naples, we decided to join up with our friends, Jayme and Kevin to watch the fireworks on the beach. I don't know what I enjoyed more the champagne, friends, the reflection of the moon on the water, the sound of the calming waves, the fireworks, or watching Hunter have fun with his glow sticks that Jayme brought (she brought them so that we could keep up with Hunter on the dark beach). It was perfect!
