Father's Day

The Boyd Family
Colin and Hunter are feeding the fish. Papa is showing his talent in skipping rocks. He has always been an excellent "rock skipper".
The boys really thought feeding the fish was fun.
We came back without any bread left. Those fish ate well.
Colin and Evan hanging out while the food was cooking.
Evan will be walking before long. He has really masted holding onto things and walking.
Papa's little lady
Mackenzie having fun with the napkins.
Hunter enjoying the tractor on the farm.

Pops, Aunt Wendy, and Annmother looking on as everyone enjoys the pond.
Aunt Wendy getting a little "QT" (quality time).

As you all know, Adam and I love to people over to our home. For Father's Day, we decided to have everyone over to Meemaw's house and host lunch. With much help from Annmother and Nannie, we pulled it off. Chad jumped at the opportunity to hang out on the farm. So, Chad, Sara, Colin, and Evan joined us. Aunt Wendy got to spend some time with the kids. It is always good to see her.
The lunch menu was really simple: hamburgers, hot dogs, bratz, grilled veggies, potato salad, baked beans, chips, coleslaw, and a wonderful banana crunch dessert. After lunch, we took a trip down to the pond to feed the fish. We asked Hunter what the fish eat when he is not feeding them, he said, "Nofin. I have to feed them." (I love when he says, "nofin".) It was good to spend the day with all of the Dads in our family. (We missed you Donnie, but know you had a great day with your little man.) Our Fathers were wonderful models for us growing up. Thank you Douglas and Daddy for loving us unconditionally and modeling what a great Father is.

Getting the Boys to Exercise

Exercising is one of my favorite things to do. It has been hard to keep it up this past week, but I put in a good workout on this day. Papa and Hunter decided to join me. Nannie has been trying to get Papa moving for a while. I had a good time. I didn't burn as many calories as I would have liked, but the moment was priceless.

Family Fun

Getting the babies ready for some splish splashing.
We couldn't help it.
Having fun playing with our babies.
Mackenzie splashing around.
Briley wasn't too happy about the cold water.
Hunter and Adam attacking each other. Not sure which one won, but they had a blast.
Look really closely at Papa's face. He asked for it.
How many different ways can water fly at one time?
Briley still is not sure about the cold water.
They all love Papa playing for them.
Crawling Class 101. Everyone is trying to teach Briley how to crawl.

Piano lessons already? Yeap, she is pretty good at banging on the piano.

These are just a few cute pics from our day hanging out at Nannie and Papa's house. It is so good to see everyone and play with all of the kids together. We did change 15 dirty diapers between all of the kids. Nannie's house brings out the best in them all :) There is one thing certain, you can always count on one baby crying at this house. There are very few minutes of silence. Tons of fun!

Look at me now!

We have arrived in Tennessee! We stayed last night at Nannie and Papa's house. Today we started to get settled at our "Summer Home" which is Meemaw's house. Adam's family has been very generous in letting us stay at her house. Francis Ann, Douglas, and Wendy all played a part in cleaning up and getting everything ready for us. The house looked great and is perfect for us. Hunter and Mackenzie have their own rooms.
Last night Mackenzie was a little hesitant in going to bed in a different bed. I peaked in on her to see her standing in her bed peering over the edge. I can't believe that she finally realized she could do this. She has been pulling up for about a month, but hasn't tried to in her bed yet. Too cute :)

GNO (Girls Night Out)

YAY!!!! June 11th is finally here. Not only is it my birthday, but it is the 1st day of summer. What a great weekend I had planned?!?!?!?! Adam and Hunter headed up to Tennessee on Monday of this week. Mackenzie and I have had a very quiet week. I discovered that I love having a clean house, but prefer to have my "messes" around instead.
Friday, I was able to leave school at 9:30. Some of the wonderful ladies I work with took me to lunch to one of my most favorite restaurants, Tommy Bahama's. Donna, Kathy, and I had a blast!!! It was so good to get together with them outside of school. The atmosphere was a perfect start to the summer.
Saturday morning, Mackenzie and I went to the Ava Maria Waterpark. They opened it to the teachers of our school. We had a blast with all of the other kids. Mackenzie fell asleep for over an hour. I felt lost without Hunter, but enjoyed hanging out with everyone.
Saturday night was one I had been looking forward to for quite some time. Girls Night Out!!! It did happen to fall on my birthday. I was glad that it did seeing that the boys were not here. We went to eat a Daruma's Japanese Steakhouse. It was delicious! Afterwards, we went down to 5th Avenue to get our "dance on". I did more people watching than dancing. We had a blast! Now for some packing and preparing for our flight to Tennessee on Monday.

My New BFF's

Mackenzie, Hayden, and Lexie just hangin' out.

We had a surprise visit by the Hamann Family from Miami. We loved having the babies hang out together playing. Well...they didn't really interact, but they did a little staring. We had a blast catching up. We miss Megan and Josh. Crossing my fingers that they make a move back to Naples sometime soon. Megan, like myself, collected American Girl Dolls. I would love to have Mackenzie and Lexie share some tea parties together :)

Sippy Cup Time

Mackenzie is not quite ready for the sippy cup, but I decided to let her play around with it a little today. She did get a few gulps of water in, but mostly she played around with it. How time is flying?!?!?!?
