I can't believe that August is already here. Unbelievable how the last few months have flown by. We have been so busy having fun and settling back into our lives here in Florida that it crept up on us.
Finding childcare was difficult for us this year for a few reasons: location, time of early drop-off, and what age they take infants. With all of those factors in play it was difficult to find the perfect place for our little ones. Eagle's Nest seemed to be the perfect place. Adam can drop the kiddos off as early as 7am, it is located a little out of the way, but not enough to worry about, AND they take infants at 8 weeks. Hunter is a little social bug and loves playing with other little people his own age so I knew that this was a good choice for him. His first official day was supposed to be August 23rd. However, with the c-section being on Friday the 20th and us not being at home with him that weekend prior to his first day, we decided to start him a little early. He is going on Tuesdays and Thursdays the next 3 weeks and then starting full time that last week in August. Hunter is in the "Red Shirt" room. He was so proud about his new red shirt. He said that it was like "Lighting McQueen". In fact last night when he was getting ready for bed he didn't want to put it in the dirty clothes. I had to show him that he had 4 more just like it. Another adjustment for him was taking a nap at school. This past year, I picked him up every day at 1 and then we would head home for the nap. This year, working full-time, he will have to take his nap at school. When I did go to pick him up he was eating snack. I asked him if he wanted to leave and eat it in the car or stay in class and finish it. He chose to stay and finish it. That was a good sign...he wasn't in a hurry to leave. He had a good day :)
